The Igbo culture and identity are proudly displayed over the pages of this book. This representation of a certain African tribe does not wish to speak only to the Igbos, but to everyone who appreciates culture, its beauty, and its values.
“old days are like landmarks / showing what grounds are yours /to build on / to call home”
The writer journeys back and forth in time, trying to reconcile what is with what could be. It gets even more personal with him recounting the moments he shared with his grandfather before his passing.
