All is now set for the launch of the second volume of Kudo Eresia-Eke’s 25 Golden Words. This is his second offering in the running series published on Amazon.
The book launch will feature scholars and art critics like Prof Emeritus Eme Ekekwe, Prof Henry Alapiki, Obari Gomba (current winner of the NLNG prize for literature), Jahman Anikulapo, Data Okorodudu and more. The event will take place online on Google Meet at 3pm Nigerian time.
Kudo Eresia-Eke is probably Africa’s most creative poet, and he has now spun a new form of poetry as showcased in this series, using only 25 words for each poem. As highlighted by some scholars, the closest feat similar to this is that which is attributed to the Japanese, who created poems of only 17 syllables, known as haiku. This has prompted many of Kudo’s readers to fondly call Kudo’s poetry KUDOIKU.

His poems are essentially spiritual and inspirational, focused on promoting deep wisdom and mystical insights. The depths of his poetry are, however, couched in highly deceptive simplicity, unparalleled in contemporary writings.
This landmark occasion, which also marks his birthday celebration, is being organised by members of the foremost organisation for the promotion of poetry in Rivers State, More Life Poetry.
