The Adebisi Amori Literary Contest 3.0 is excited to announce the shortlist for this year’s nonfiction prize, themed “Uncharted: Horizons Beyond Us.” This contest, which aims to celebrate emerging voices in literature, has received an impressive array of submissions showcasing creativity and depth.
The shortlisted works, in alphabetical order, are:
- A Canvas of New Beginnings by Aanuloluwa Williams
- A Personal Journey Beyond Fear by Testimony Odugbesan
- Mother, Did You Know? by Shalom Adeyemi
- Still Imperfect by Omolola Grace
- Uncharted: Horizons Beyond Us by Aduroja Oreoluwa
The winners will be announced on the 10th of January, 2025.
About The Adebisi Amori Literary Contest
The Adebisi Amori Literary Contest is named after the erstwhile president of the NSASA-UI Literary and Debating Society, Adebisi Amori, for her ardent work that saw to the revitalisation of the Society, in 2022.
This year, the Adebisi Amori Literary Contest 3.0 is proudly sponsored by MyLibri Books, Farafina, and Ikike Arts. The contest seeks to unearth and celebrate literary talents that exist within students of Sociology in the University of Ibadan. And so, it cuts across genres including poetry, short story, and essay writing.
